The Process

The initial phase of the process is a phone call or meet up if you're local to Western New York where we go over all of the details of your elopement: what you have planned so far, what you know you'd like but haven't planned yet, and what you're still unsure about. We then go over what you're hoping to get out of your elopement photos- are you looking for minimal coverage to cover just the ceremony and a few photos after, or are you looking to capture a full day of adventuring? Are you looking for a photographer who is able to fade into the background to allow your elopement to feel as private and intimate as possible, or are you looking for a hype person to celebrate with you? Do you need help planning the elopement beyond photography, or are you ready to go and just need to fill me in on your details? Whatever your day looks like, the first call is the time to go over everything you're hoping to achieve in your photos, and often beyond.

The next phase is to take all of the information you've provided with me, and I'll build a package for you based on location, hours of coverage, and any add on services you're interested in including. I'll send the proposal to you to review, and we can make adjustments to fit your dream photography coverage and budget. After I make those tweaks and send over a final proposal for you to sign off on, I'll send you your contract and invoice for reserving the date(s).

After we get your day officially booked, the next step is totally dependent on the package we've put together for you. If you've added on services to receive help planning your elopement, I begin the process of putting together location recommendations, suggested timelines, activities to make your day feel representative of your relationship, and vendor options. You'll receive a full info sheet with these suggestions to run with! If you've got the planning covered and aren't interested in adding on this service, then we just skip this step. If you've added on an engagement session, this will also be the time to get that scheduled!

From there, six weeks before the elopement we have a follow up call to confirm our planned schedule, and I go over the final travel itinerary for myself if I'll be traveling to your elopement location. This is the last opportunity to make any big changes to your services, since I'll be booking flights, hotels, and a car should I be traveling outside of Western New York. We'll have one more call one to two weeks before your elopement to confirm all final details.

Then comes your elopement day! Each elopement is truly so unique, so it's very difficult to speak to what your day will look like. Some couples have an intimate ceremony in their own home I'm only present an hour for, and other couples and I will spend hours hiking to a dream location, celebrating atop a mountain. There's so much variation, but I'm more than happy to work to help you achieve your dream day.

After the elopement, you can expect 2-3 sneak peek photos within two days of the elopement, 7-10 preview photos within 10 days of your elopement, and your final gallery within one month of the elopement. You'll receive your fully edited gallery via a digital gallery that you can share access to with family and friends, receive full printing rights to your photos, and any add ons such as an external custom flash drive, prints, or a keepsake box will be shipped to you shortly after the gallery has been delivered.
